Jennifer Daniels believes in the power of community and its ability to ease the path toward the end of life. As a community-based doula, she supports individuals, families, and friends in creating space for companionship, storytelling, and peaceful passings. She is fluent in Spanish, and loves learning about and supporting rituals and traditions from different cultures.
Jennifer was drawn to working in the end-of-life space after her husband Dennis' death in 2014, when she experienced first the confusion and isolation of supporting a family member through a serious illness and then the peace and comfort of hospice support. She realized there are choices in end-of-life care and many ways to support a loved one, including providing a compassionate and listening presence. Since that time, she has supported hundreds of clients and families, as a doula, hospice volunteer, and friend. Jennifer is also passionate about community education and creating safe spaces to remove the taboos around talking about death.
Jennifer believes that physical presence is comforting in itself, but is willing to provide virtual care if appropriate. She is based in northern Virginia and is happy to travel throughout the DMV.
